Description | Climate | Attractions | Recommendations

The Bukit peninsula is connected to the rest of Bali by a narrow neck of land. Here, the Jimbaran Bay area has one of the safest and most tranquil white beaches. Jimbaran is renown for the Barong (trance) dance. It also has Pura Ulan Iwi, a beautiful temple made of brick.

Jimbaran is a sleepy cove where fleets of fishing boats colour the scene. Since the opening of the Four Seasons Resort and other five star hotels, this once-quiet area has now become a popular resort. Local families and tourists are drawn by its beauty, and to enjoy the food of the superb seafood restaurants along the beach. Jimbaran is a very popular spot for windsurfing and small sailing craft, which are available for rent.
